Billington about changes to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act which would make things like bypassing the DRM on games and films under certain conditions legal. The following are the released notes on the changes: (1) Motion pictures on DVDs that are lawfully made and [ Read More ]

With the gradual fall of the great American empire, the frightening rise of China as a world power and the UK government held together with cockadile tears and sticky tape – it is high time for a new system of government in the Western World…
I am campaigning that Fabio Cappello and Heston Blumenthal are related – two ugly fucking brothers separated at birth. Like the parent trap, but with more annoying tossers. Maybe that would explain Capello’s oddly incessant use of Heskey, just like Heston’s bloody snail porridge. Decide for yourself.
Yes ladies and gentletypes it would appear that the new unholy alliance government of the United Kingdom have put in place measures to scrap the rather atiquated and equally hated manditory TV License fee. This will no doubt, fuck the BBC right up… but lets face it, could it get any worse?

Let’s stop worrying about Google and start worrying about Microsoft again – I say this with a sense of some urgency. Why? I shall tell you – is it a questionable decision as regard privacy in China? No it is not. It is a strange EULA clause I’ve just read on some obscure application? No it is not. Is it a Vulcan like trend toward infinite diversification leading to a slough of recent half ass’d hippy ‘global domination’ conspiracy theories? Worse.

I read Kotaku. Everyone does. I read this. I felt the obvious sarcasm needed so more meat. *clears his throat* – So there is this guy called Steve Pope who claims to be (and to his credit may well be, God help us all…) a ‘counsellor’ and a ‘therapist’ who has claimed today in the scientifically esteemed (that’s sarcastic italics in case you’ve come here from a non-internetz site, i.e. something mainstream) Lancashire Evening Post that, and this is a direct quote from the article, “…spending two hours on a game station is equivalent to taking a line of cocaine in the high it produces…”

I’m not a voter, I’ve never been motivated enough to vote. Nothing has ever made me think “I want that guy in power”. Times have changed however, no it’s not what you’re thinking whilst Nick Clegg has been impressive in the first big debate I’m not going for one of the better known parties. My support is going to The Citizens for Undead Rights and Equality. This is no joke, the BBC listed them as a party vying for the Brighton Pavilion seat. They’ve got four candidates available to ensure our protection nationwide.
Following on from the GNG podcast discussion about the new Digial Economy Act (minus rollerskating pirates, which were lets face it awesome and silly in equal measure…) a little known UK ISP ‘Andrews & Arnold’ have cunningly and willfully locked themselves in a room grinning for the last week and been sucessfully beavoring away identifying various loopholes in the new and rather pathetically ill thought out law.
In this gripping first episode of the GNG Podcast, find out the following exciting things; Doug is retarded, Laura is gobby and Adrian is drunk! This week we find ourselves talking about…
